Feet For Hope.com uses the media to gain publicity for the impoverished children of Mathare slums and for the Journey Across America to encourage others to get involved. Using press releases helps us spread the word about the walk, publish changes or modifications to the route, announce public appearances and more, to those members of the public who do not frequent our website. The media serves as a powerful tool for education and propelling change! While there are free press release services, the press releases issued for free do not reach as wide an audience. For maximum circulation (including postings on Yahoo News, etc), the cost for each press release varies between $80 and $300

The printed materials Feet For Hope.com uses serve a variety of purposes.
Here's a quick breakdown: sending introduction letters to churches, hotels,
news websites, and everywhere we can think of to invite people to participate.
Media kits are sent to potential partners/sponsors in an effort to gain funding and support.
Media kits are also sent to news organizations and television talk shows to secure publicity.

Bike repair, postage, website maintenance, server, cell phones, promotional items, e.g., magnets, bags, t-shirts, etc., lodging, food, travel expenses for replenishing supplies, accounting, and marketing.
All of these efforts will result in greater number of donations to build dorms and schools, to purchase solar panel energy systems to power the schools and dorms; to drill a well for the community; and to find sponsors for the children of Mathare Valley slums.
Donations to Hope Missions International
Because HMI is a registered 501c3 organization, all gifts are tax deductible. You contributions will be deposited into the building fund for the construction of a boys and girls dormitory [est. cost $90,000.00] - gifts will also help to secure a solar panel energy system to power the dorms and a school [$15,000.00]. Most importantly, your generous contribution will help to have a new well drilled for delivery of clean water to the entire community [$10,000.00].
